About

I was born and raised in Sainte-Pazanne, France—a small town a few kilometers from Nantes—near the Atlantic Ocean. My journey starts like many others, who are led to their calling for reasons that are profound and meaningful.

Meet Jean-Christophe

I was 12 years old when I was first introduced to Acupuncture and its inherent ability to help nurture, heal, and transform emotional trauma. Following the tragic death of my grandfather, my grandmother entered a space of deep depression. Ten years later, after having exhausted the resources conventional medicine had to offer, she made the decision to meet with an acupuncturist. It was then that her path to healing—and my commitment to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine—began.

In the late 1980’s, Acupuncture was not popular in France, nor was it recognized as a valid medical paradigm. Yet, I had the privilege of witnessing how the care of an inspiring acupuncturist—who later became one of my mentors— drastically improved my grandmother’s health. After recognizing the value of the treatments she received, other family members of mine began consulting him for various conditions with the same successful outcomes.

That is when I knew that Acupuncture was an effective, wholistic, and gentle healing modality and I was resolved to providing this beneficial and powerful practice to others.

This experience profoundly shaped my education and my life’s work.

Professional Experience

Jean-Christophe has been practicing and studying Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine for over 20 years.

His areas of interest and expertise include Digestive Health, Psycho-Emotional Health, Pain Management (with a specific focus on chronic conditions and sports injuries), and Women’s Health.

He graduated from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine in 2007. Prior to moving to the US, he studied at Institut Chuzhen de Médecine Chinoise in Paris, France in 2002 and earned a degree in Sports & Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology, in 1998 in Nantes, France.

Throughout his training, Jean-Christophe gained valuable experience practicing under several prominent doctors in France.

He traveled to China for advanced study, where he completed a four month internship at Tianjin First Teaching Hospital in North Eastern China, participating in treatments within many departments of the hospital. During his internship, he realized the importance of deepening his knowledge of Chinese language and philosophy, both of which underlie the practice of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. He then moved to Kunming, China for another 12 months and studied Sinology, Chinese language, and Daoist Philosophy.

Upon return to France, he started his own Acupuncture clinic until 2004 when he decided to move to the United States. Jean-Christophe has been living in Fort Collins, CO since 2007 and opened his own practice downtown in September of 2008. He is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is currently licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in Colorado. He is also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado.

He continues to expand and refine his knowledge of Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine—both its practice and its philosophy—through regular, ongoing continuing education with scholars of Eastern medicine, particularly with Jeffrey Yuen, one of the most sought-after teachers and speakers on Chinese medicine throughout the world.
